pdf extension

After installing, I tried to click the .pdf extension so I can add that file meta handler. However, the button is grayed out and I can't add it. If I scroll down and try other extensions, the button isn't grayed out. Do I need to enable something for pdfs to work? Please help!

Hi JxL

The implication is that there is another .pdf property handler already installed. File Meta won't tread on anything else's toes, by design. Does anything show to the right of the entry for .pdf? To the right of .mp3, for example, you'll see MF MP3 Property Handler. Some are gray without a name, like .ocx, and if it's one of those we'll need to look deeper.

Hi Dijji,

I get it now. I uninstalled another application I was trying out and didn't restart my computer. Now that I restarted, the .pdf extension is available. I'm looking forward to tagging all my pdfs, it'll be a great help. Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, JxL, which application did you have installed that installs property handlers for PDFs? :O
